Wine writers and Masters of Wine are giving this new vintage of the classic Essence Pure Chardonnay a real thumbs up.“Classy”, “ A thing of beauty”, “Lovely fragrance, freshness and a real sense of pristine fruit”.
Essence is a pure un-oaked Chardonnay; it has become a bit of a cult wine with the critics and a sought after wine by Fox & Fox's Private List members.
This wine has a strong following and demand is high but it will only ever be produced in small quantities.
Small bubbles fill the mouth and deliver a refreshingly long finish. Essence is a wine that drinks well on its own, and offers good aging potential. The first vintage of Essence (2011) scored 96 points in Decanter, and is a worthy successor.
