While it comes from the south of France, Malbec has been made enormously popular by
winemakers in Argentina. In Argentina, in its warmer, sunnier, higher vineyards, you find a lot more genetically-diverse Malbec vines.
The altitude and sunlight has an incredible effect on the variety on offer and today we’re
discovering just how much variety there can be in this single grape variety.
Before we get into our five big Argentinian Malbecs, though, we start with something that yo may not associate automatically with Malbec: a bright, summery Rosé – or Rosado, to give it its Spanish title.
