
Very much Gruner and Riesling focussed, their terraced vineyards are like a patchwork on the steep banks of the Danube. Headed up by a Master of Wine, Domaine Wachau own the majority of vineyards in the Wachau region and are a leader in sustainability.
On the nose: This rare and intense style of wine is made mainly from Riesling and Pinot Blanc and displays honey, mango, citrus and herbal characteristics.
On the palate: Textured, harmoniously sweet with bright acidity. Wonderfully intense and lingering with concentrated honey and exotic fruits on the palate.
Food paring: Liver pates, sweet desserts and traditional Austrian “Kaiserschmarn”
